Places In Logan Utah To Take Pictures
Logan, Utah is a an incredibly diverse place in Cache Valley, offering so many places for pretty pictures with all different looks- no matter what your style is. Here are some of my favorite places.
1. Logan Canyon: There are places everywhere to stop in Logan Canyon: Second Dam, Temple Fork or Tony’s Grove. I have pulled over on the side of the road for photoshoots so go explore! Here are example images from fall and winter.
2. Utah State University Campus: The campus of Utah State University offers a blend of architectural charm and natural beauty. Stroll through the tree-lined Quad, capturing the historic buildings, elegant walkways, and vibrant gardens. The iconic Old Main building is a must-photograph spot, particularly during the cherry blossom season in the spring.
3. Logan LDS Temple: The temple is beautiful no matter what season it is. The temple doesn’t have much shade in the afternoon, something to beware of!
4. Garden City and Bear Lake: The sandy beaches and crystal blue water at Bear Lake is so incredibly stunning. I can’t wait to shoot there in the summer. The images shown below were taken at a private cabin in Bear Lake during the winter.
5. Denzil Stewart Nature Park: This park is in the middle of Logan, and you would have no idea, it feels like you are in the middle of the forest! There is a big river and really pretty trees. It’s a big park that has a circular walking trail. It can tend to be busy during the fall so plan accordingly.
6. Logan Downtown: Center Street has the prettiest buildings and cute cafes. These photos are from the courthouse and Center Street. The best time to take pictures is on Sunday so the street isn’t too crowded with cars and people. There is also a studio called “Center Street Studio” that is perfect for pictures if you want more of a clean background.
7. Green Canyon: Another beautiful canyon near Logan, Green Canyon offers hiking trails with stunning views. The changing colors in the fall make it an ideal season for photography. I haven’t personally shot there yet but I am dying to in the spring!
8. Wellsville Rolling Hills: One of my go-tos. This spot in Wellsville has rolling green hills that are pretty year-round but especially in the summer. Yellow flowers will often pop up in spring/summer. It has a small patch of trees that turn orange for fall then the grass is tall and yellow. Seriously my favorite spot. Wellsville has multiple places like this so go exploring!
9. The SOLO Studio CO: this is a brand-new studio located in South Logan. It is my absolute favorite studio. It has a seamless white floor and wall along with different color paper back drops. There are two big doors that allow natural light. They also have flattering lights you can turn on and extra lighting equipment.
Thanks for reading! If you see a spot you really like shoot me a message, and I would love to do a shoot with you!
